ROSEMEAD, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Rosemead has identified a $5 million state climate-bond allocation intended for Rosemead Park improvements, according to a City Council staff report that explains the steps required to access the money.

The December 9, 2025 staff report says California’s budget legislation provided a $5 million allocation to the city through State Parks for improvements at Rosemead Park.

Why the city needs an application

The report proposed that City Council approve an authorizing resolution so the city could submit a grant application. The document describes the legislative allocation and a necessary administrative step; it does not by itself establish how much was ultimately disbursed, which construction contract was signed or whether improvements are already completed.

The state-required funding timetable identified in the report calls for funds to be obligated by June 30, 2027 and final project completion by June 30, 2030.

What residents can ask

Families using Rosemead Park may want to see an updated list of proposed facilities, design drawings, environmental review, accessibility improvements, construction phases and maintenance costs. The official report sets out the source of funding but does not provide an exhaustive final list of built features.

The city’s official website links to City Council agendas and meeting archives where residents can track follow-up approvals and contracting.
